As a wild and fanciful conspiracy theorist, I think Anya's neck is the just the first symptom of some horrible illness, possibly consumption or something else "romanatic" and olde worlde, that will eventually kill her.
"It's such tragedy" her fans will say, "she was just getting her life together again."
Fortunately, her agent will find her completed manuscript and it will be published to well, if not great acclaim, then at least a lot of sales.
Of course, Anya being "dead" or hiding in Staines of Truro or wherever it is she actually lives, will not have to answer any tricky questions.
And the guy who wrote that anti-domestic abuse advert thing with the wee girl sitting on her bed listening to her parents fight downstairs will have no-one to sue.

I'm curious as to where the Truro connection came in as I have seen nothing concrete about it.
And as for Alien Spirit, well, he/she/it has always regarded themselves as someone who colud speak for WS without any authority and so their words are best regarded as those of some sycophantic fan who wants to make excuses no matter what.
I think in the World War Two era they were known as Collaborators and would be paraded through the town with their heads shaved. :)
As has been pointed out previously, any "awkward" questions posed on WS's blog have never been answered directly by Anya.
Instead, her arse licking fans have created excuses/reasons to cover any anomolies which have (over time) been accepted as the actual truth (answer).
Anya has herself given no concrete answers to anything.

The family home is in Truro, I expect the story will be about running away from child abuse, that sort of thing. Apparently a reporter went to the house and got very short shrift from the Peters family. Theres a dodgy ex boyfriend involved as well. It's all a bit vague. But Truro is slap bang in the middle of it.
