Blurble

At last !
The literary masterpiece is released to the public.
Such a shame that Anya didn't actually get arrested for shoplifting her own book but then again, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
Unless your name's Gary Glitter of course.

What will our intrepid blogger write about now?
After all, everything she has to say has now been said (by Andrew Crofts) so there won't be much point in continuing her blog.
If truth be told, once she'd secured the book deal, there was no more news anyway except for "teasers" about the book.

But hey!, let's not forget all the links on the right hand pane of her blog.
Let's see now.
  • There's a link to her book on Waterstones.
  • And of course, a link to her book on Amazon.
  • Then there's the two links to BBC articles that mention her.
  • Not forgetting the link to Le Monde that mentions her.

At least "The Agenda" is now clearly on view for all to see.........

Far be it from me to say "I told you so".
But ...........

How do you intend to do that? Where, and at what time?

I'd like to see that! We here just believe what we SEE... :)

Don't feel jealous, we'll cover your story too...

Please inform us at least with a week in advance. A public place would be the best scenary! Oh, and dear, please don't choose a bridge! That's so old-fashioned and nobody cares anymore. Please be inventive...

Wishing you all the best...

Quote from her site:
"Today was surreal. I found myself in Waterstones looking for a book. Not mine…what I wanted was some comfort-reading to get me through the next few days so that I didn't have to think of mine for a while — something like the Summer Book by Tove Jannson, something timeless and ageless, some other world I could just sink into for a while.

I always knew my own book was out tomorrow, but I somehow managed not to be thinking about that at all by lunchtime. It was hot and the high street was crowded and after I’d been to the supermarket I wandered in off the street without planning to, and almost without thinking. I browsed from table to table, picking up books randomly, turning them over, reading the publisher’s blurbs on the back, flicking through pages. Then as I passed the ‘new release’ hardbacks on the wall by the door I caught sight of something out of the corner of my eye and stopped in my tracks. There staring back at me amongst all the others was a copy of my book.

It was the weirdest thing. I think my heart stopped at least two beats."

Errrrm ....now call me cynical or whatever you want, you mean to say that she thinks people will believe her when she says she just strolled into waterstones looking for a book but NOT her book to take her mind off of her book ......fucking hell, idf I had a book on the shelves I would deffo be walking into waterstones to see it on the shelf - I'm so sick of her pious, fake bollox that I could scream!

In fact I will ...ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!

and anyway if she really wanted something timeless or some comfort reading material, what's wrong with viz!

Anya's in need of a hug...No doubt! That's why her heart stops sometimes!

Huggy...

We are all hoping and praying that the heart stopping will be an extended feature.

Unless of course it's just more arty bollox typed up to present a false and idealised fabrication for the simple minded and gullible who read such tripe.

I must admit that if I was hoping to take my mind off book related subjects then the first place that I would wander into would be Waterstones.
But then again, I dribble a lot, piss my pants regularly and shouldn't go out in public unaccompanied.

Sometimes I feel such affinity with Anya .....

Care in the Community Hugssssss....

Anya Peters.

To me you sound like a very mean and bitter, what are you called "Blogger". I find it strange that do speak about Anya Peters with such disdain, yet you have managed to hitch a ride on her coat tails to make a blog called wandering scribe ego. You must be so proud, its so original.
